Deleting your data from KobiChat

Last updated on 6 August 2026

Your data stays yours. This page explains exactly how to delete your data from KobiChat - yourself in the app, or in full via a deletion request. You can read more about how we handle data in our privacy policy.

1. Deleting data yourself in the app

As the owner or administrator of a KobiChat workspace, you can delete data yourself straight away:

2. Requesting full deletion of your account

How to submit a deletion request: email privacy@kobichat.nl with the subject “Deletion request”, from the email address your account is registered with. Please include the name of your workspace.

What happens next:

Only data that we are legally required to keep (such as invoices, under the statutory 7-year tax retention obligation) is retained for as long as the law requires - separately from your workspace.

3. Data from the WhatsApp/Meta integration

Have you connected your WhatsApp Business account (WABA) to KobiChat via Meta? When you submit a deletion request, we also delete everything we hold through that integration: messages, media, contact details, message templates and the integration’s access tokens. In addition, you can always revoke the integration itself via your Meta Business Manager (Settings → Business integrations).

4. Are you a customer of a business that uses KobiChat?

If you exchange WhatsApp messages with a business that uses KobiChat, that business is responsible for your data and we are the processor. Please direct your deletion request to that business - they can delete your data directly in KobiChat. If you cannot resolve the matter together, email us at privacy@kobichat.nl; we will help the business carry out the request.

Questions or complaints

Email us at privacy@kobichat.nl. In addition, you always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
